How to download songs from Suno

The short version

Three dots on the song row, then Download, then pick a format in the window that opens, then confirm. The confirm is the part that costs you one of your plan's downloads, so it is worth slowing down for.

Step by step

   Open your library

   Go to suno.com and open Library. Downloads are started from the song row, not from the player.

   Open the song menu

   Click the three dots at the end of the row, then choose Download. The old hover submenu is gone; this opens a window instead.

   Pick your format

   The window lists M4A, MP3, WAV, MP4 video and Stems. These are toggles rather than radio buttons, and MP3 is switched on by default, so switch off anything you do not want.

   Check the count

   The same window shows your plan and how many downloads you have left. Look at it before you confirm.

   Confirm

   Press Unlock & Download. That click is what spends one of your downloads, and it cannot be undone.

Which format should you pick?

• WAV if the track is finished and you want the best quality to master or distribute.
• MP3 for sharing, or if you just want a listenable copy.
• M4A is smaller than WAV and fine for reference listening.
• Stems if you plan to mix the parts yourself. Availability depends on your plan.

Watch the toggles. Because MP3 is on by default, clicking WAV leaves both switched on, and you walk away with two files when you wanted one.

The mistake that costs people downloads

Suno generates several takes per prompt, and in a list they look identical: same title, same style, same length. It is very easy to download take three, decide later that take one was better, and spend a second download finding out.

Before you confirm, check the play count on each version. The one people actually listened to is usually the one you meant.

Doing it faster

Suno Manager puts MP3 and WAV buttons on every row that open that same window with only your format selected, so the toggle trap cannot happen. It also shows your remaining downloads while you browse, marks songs already on your disk, and files what arrives under your own naming with the lyrics saved next to it.

It does not download audio itself and does not get around the cap. You still press Suno's own confirm button, and it still counts.

If you have run out

Your allowance returns on your billing date, and the account page tells you when. In the meantime the words are still yours to take: archiving your lyrics and prompts costs nothing and has no cap.
